About the band

The Tenacious Red band was
formed in 2005 and includes a
lineup of Patti Christensen
handling vocals and
percussion, Dave Christensen
doubling between vocals and
guitar, Richie Maciejewski
playing lead guitar, Rick
Arnold on the bass and
vocals, Bill Gravlin on the
drums and Dave Poteat on the
keyboards
The band members all
possess a passion for music
and have long been involved
in various projects. The
musical beginnings for each
can be traced back to an early
age. Inspiration comes from a
wide variety of influences
including such artists as The
Cream, Santana, Pat Benatar,
and Stevie Ray Vaughan just
to name a few. Of course, if
all the influential artists were
listed here, many pages would
be needed.
The band plays an eclectic
blend of music. Most songs
covered will be recognized;
however, there may be a few
tunes new to the crowd. Start
with a base of classic rock,
add in some modern rock,
include a hint of country, toss
in a little southern rock and
top it all off with a taste of the
blues. Mix it all together and
what you have is a musical
Whether playing in basement
bands, singing karaoke,
working at the college radio
station, or as a wedding DJ,
music seems to have always
been a central theme in the
lives of the band Members
viewing music as a medium to
bring people together, the
group strives to create an
atmosphere of joyful
exuberance.
Tenacious Red offers up a
range of styles in order to
satisfy the discriminating
listener. It is easy to see that
the band is having fun while
playing music. Experience the
pure enjoyment of Tenacious
Red.

Music has always been Patti's
passion. In High School, she was
in every choir possible, even the
Michigan Honors Choir. She
attended choir camps, sang in the
church choir, at weddings and sat
in with friends' groups at their
gigs. She even learned to play
guitar so she could sing her own
music. She now has 2 children
and works in the family business
(Huber & Breese and Southern
Thumb Music) and looks forward
to "jamming" with the band each
week. FAVORITE QUOTE: U and
UR HAND BABY!!
Dave is the co-founder of Tenacious Red. He
has years of playing experience, most recently
with the group Rockway5. Dave can sing a
wide range of tunes from The Who to FREE
BIRD and Weezer’s “Hash Pipe.” He is a great
front man for the group who can get the crowd
going. FAVORITE QUOTE: UM? YEAH?? UM !
Richie plays an awesome lead
guitar. Whether it is the smooth
blues of a Stevie Ray Vaughan
tune, or the flying notes of Eddie
Van Halen’s “Eruption,” Richie
has the moves to get it done. He
and Pinky are very close as you
can see !!!! FAVORITE QUOTE:
WHERE'S MY LEAD ?????
Rick started out playing "Surf Music" in
the 60's, quickly gravitating toward the
Stones, Kinks, Airplane, Cream etc.
Due to the blues-based influence of
those bands. Over the past 40 years
he has worked the bass in Rock,
Country, Blues and R&B along with
session work around the Motor City.
He enjoys playing acoustic guitar on
the side. Rick enjoys performing pretty
much all music with the exception of
Polkas and Armenian Folk music which
tend to either put him to sleep or make
him agitated. FAVORITE QUOTE: AWE
SHUT UP AND PLAY
Bill is back fans!!!!! Yes the
co-founder of Tenacious Red is back
from the dark caves of Bangkok
????? Bill is picking up where he left
off and we are running again. He
promises to keep a solid basic drum
beat for us to rock out. (Um? Right
Bill !!) Watch out when he is playing
you may get a free drum stick flying
out at you while on the dance floor.

Dave came to us from a far away
land that was far far far away. He
started his career in the 70's back
when rock was rock n roll. Hey it' still
